Under The Sea Art inspired by Nikki.

Our oceans offer infinite inspiration to so many people. The stunning creatures that inhabit them are often more beautiful than anything we can imagine, and the personalities they convey in their behaviour is incredible. From playful and cheeky seals to delicate, ornate seahorses, there are so many species to admire.

My ocean inspired prints try to convey the personalities I see in the subjects, and also the magic I associate with them.

The Inspiration Behind my Merfolk Art

Mermaids, Mermen and Merchildren are collectively referred to as Merfolk. Whilst Merfolk are traditionally thought of as human sized with a finny form, I am rather fond of the thought of tiny Merfolk and you will see this in my prints.

I believe there is nothing more engaging than peering into rockpools or ponds in search of these tiny creatures – an activity which can be enjoyed by all people, young and old! I imagine that these tiny folk play a part in caring for our marine friends, and hope that this may also inspire others to do the same.

Whimsical Artwork Accompanied with a Small Poem

My artwork always has a whimsical narrative, and is often accompanied by a poem or ditty. These can often be adapted to include personal names or simply replaced with your own text if preferred.
